Our church is operated by teams that report to the Session. Below is a brief description of what each of these teams are responsible for.
CHURCH LIFE TEAM
The Church Life Team’s responsibilities lie mainly in the worship phase of our church life. This includes order of worship, choir, and seasonal decorations. Also communion, ushering and our acolytes and many other areas of “church life.”
The purpose of the Fellowship Committee is to bring members of the congregation together to interact with each other thus enriching our Christian ties. As Presbyterians we tend to do this around table where each individuals contribution is shared and enjoyed: Celebration Sundays and Potluck dinners and various events throughout the year bring us closer together.
MISSION AND EDUCATION TEAM
The Mission and Education Team oversees Christian Education, Evangelism, Vacation Bible School and supports local and worldwide mission through allocating financial distributions and coordinating activities that support the local mission.
This team handles the mechanics of our church both physical and financial. They handle the physical well being and repair of our church building and all the associated parts. They also handle all the financial parts of our church, both the General Fund and the Memorial Fund. They keep the bills paid and supervise our investments.
They are the caregivers of the church and provide help when needed. They too are elected from the congregation.
