FAITH CAFÉ
The Faith Café made a comeback with our summer outdoor Courtyard Concert Saturday, August 17th. After a very rainy start to the day, the thunderstorms moved on and it turned out to be a beautiful evening with sunny blue skies.
The Café welcomed Mary McKutcheon as our opening artist, what a beautiful voice she has. Tom Bean and Todd Morton, as promised, delivered a performance of favorite music that had everyone smiling and singing along. There were about 80 people in attendance. It was wonderful to see all our Faith Café friends again. The continued support of the Café after being closed for almost a year means a lot to us.
An announcement was made that all donations from the evening would be given to the families that lost their children in the Day Care fire. A collection was also taken the next morning during our Sunday Worship Service. The Faith Café said it would match up to $300. The total that was given to the families is $645.67. A huge thank you to everyone who made that possible.
The Men’s Brotherhood will be having a movie night in the Café on Saturday, October 12th. The movie will be The Mighty Macs, “an inspiring true story about a woman who just wanted to make a difference and wound up making history”. There will be pizza at 6:00 and the movie will start at 6:30. Men’s Brotherhood will have a sign-up sheet for those coming for pizza so they know how much to order.
The Faith Café will be having a Christmas Show Saturday, December 7th from 7:30 to 9:00. Selah Praise Band will be performing. Mark your calendars to kick off the Christmas season with us!
