By serving as a community anchor for over 65 years, Elmwood Avenue Presbyterian Church has played a large role in Southwest Erie. Throughout the years, we have served in many capacities–from mission trips to local events, we continue to be active in the following mission projects:
The Elmwood Food Pantry
Our food pantry serves community members through Second Harvest Food Bank.
We operate on the 3rd Thursday of the Month, 1:00 PM-2:30 PM. If you are hungry, call us. We would like to help!
Boundaries served are between West 20 to West 38; Cascade to Greengarden
Erie Free Store- currently open every Monday 4:30pm to 7:00pm
Erie Free Store is exactly what the name says–a FREE store. From clothing to blankets, from household items to shoes, our assortment always changes. We have only three rules: Be Kind. Take What You Need. Pay It Forward.
We are open on Mondays from 4:30pm until 7:00pm.
Donations are accepted on Mondays from 4:30pm until 7:00pm when the Erie Free Store is open. We cannot accept any furniture or large electronics at this time. Check the Facebook page “Erie Free Store” to see what items are currently being accepted for donation or call the Church office at 814-864-4809.
